Castle Farm Leisure Centre
Castle Farm Leisure Centre is a brand-new leisure facility in Kenilworth, Coventry. This purpose-built facility has been specified with Accoya® cladding on multiple elevations.
FireWright were contacted to treat 7.9 cubic metres of the Accoya® cladding for customer, Russwood. The product, Russwood’s RW014, Accoya® Planed & Uncoated has a striking natural look, the Radiata Pine is modified through a non-toxic acetylation process to create a high-performance timber with superior stability and durability. Uncoated Accoya® is a cream/light straw colour, which will take on a silvery-grey appearance when left to weather naturally.
FireWright’s fire retardant impregnation treatment penetrates the cell structure of the timber providing the entirety of the timber with fire retardant treatment for the duration of its life. The impregnation also enables end-users to cut and sand the cladding without impacting effectiveness, something FR coatings are unable to provide.
The Accoya® timber cladding provides a beautiful aesthetic when paired with this white render. This 80-station gym is packed with all the latest fitness equipment, a six-court sports hall, as well as two group exercise studios, alongside a dedicated group cycling studio, there’s sure to be something her to help keep everyone active.
Opening in December of 2023, Warwick District Council’s development of the leisure centre’s is still in its early days of completion but has a striking appearance and we think the Accoya® cladding looks stunning.
